Song of the Day: Identification and Analysis of Course Concepts from Popular Song Lyrics and Videos

Student motivation in the classroom is key to successful student learning. In this semester activity, students learn course concepts with relatable connections to popular song lyrics and music videos. Each student presenter selects a song and analyzes the issues, connection to course concepts, and personal impact from the lyrics and video presented. The application of course theories and concepts through the context of music videos and lyrics at the start of every class provides a relevant and memorable method for student learning.
