Abstract

This course examines video activist response during the beginning of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the United States. As such, students grapple with the specificity of video as a medium, activism as a political tactic/strategy, and the process of community-building and maintenance. This interdiciplinary course could be taught from a myriad of disciplinary vantage points.
