Introduction to Games Design

This is both the current syllabus for the first year, core, introduction course on Games Design at Staffordshire University, and a review of its previous incarnations, included to give the current content and assessment context. The Course covers topics overviewing a wide range of elements about Computer Games Design and Level design. It’s currently delivered in a series of two hour semi-interactive lectures spread across both semester of study – and incorporates both on-line and distance learning students. The assessment and it’s marking criteria are also included and dicussed.
